On 27 July I went to Gröna Lund for a concert again. No rock show this time, but a living legend: Lionel Richie.
To be honest, I didn't know many of his songs, but wanted to see him live anyway. I went there with a colleague who said he didn't know any songs by Lionel Richie, but we both recognized many more songs than we thought we would!
We arrived rather late at the concert and were surprised by how many people already were there. We needed to eat at Gröna Lund and we had to wait half an hour before we could order. Crazy! We decided to stay at the food place, because it was incredibly busy everywhere else.After a while we went into the public and had so much trouble getting to the back.
The place was packed!
No wonder it was so busy though. Lionel Richie is a living legend and I can confirm that the man has talent!
He was still looking young and his voice was amazing. Even though I didn't like the fact that it was so crowded, I'm very happy I went to the concert anyway!

NEDERLANDS: Op 27 juli ben ik weer naar Gröna Lund gegaan voor een concert. Geen rock show deze keer, maar een levende legende: Lionel Richie. Ik kende eerlijk gezegd niet zoveel nummers van hem, maar wilde hem toch graag live zien. Ik ging naar het concert met een collega die zei dat hij geen enkel nummer van Lionel Richie kende, maar we herkenden allebei toch meer nummers dan verwacht!
We kwamen redelijk laat aan op het concert en het was superdruk. We moesten zelfs een halfuur wachten voor we ons eten konden bestellen. Supergek! We besloten dan maar om bij de etensstand te blijven tijdens het concert, want het stond toch al overal helemaal vol. Na een tijdje gingen we toch tussen het publiek, maar het was zo ongelooflijk druk dat we amper konden bewegen.
Het was echt heel druk, maar ik begrijp wel waarom. Lionel Richie is een levende legende en de man heeft talent! Hij zag er nog heel goed uit voor zijn leeftijd en hij zingt bovendien nog goed ook!
