March was a crazy concert month. I had seven concert days during this month. Told you I was a concerweirdo, didn't I?!
In the middle of March I went home for a long weekend to visit friends and family. And to go to a concert of course.
The Canadian rock band Danko Jones was playing in Tilburg (NL), which is really close to my home in Belgium.
The band had just released a new album, which is super good, and the tickets were cheap. So why the fuck not, right?!
NEDERLANDS: Maart was echt een gekke concertmaand. Ik had maar liefst zeven concertdagen tijdens deze maand.
De meeste concerten waren binnen Zweden, maar midden maart ging ik naar huis voor een lang weekend.
Familie en vrienden bezoeken en, uiteraard, een concertje meepikken!

My sister and I arrived at the venue pretty late and the support act, Audrey Horne, had already started to play.
This was a fun rock 'n roll band who was able to get the audience going already. The show was almost sold out, so it was very busy in the small venue. My sister and I decided to try and go as much to the front of the venue as possible, which went surprisingly easy. We ended up in one of the first couple of rows. Later that night, when Danko Jones had come on stage, I actually managed to get to the first two rows. Say what?!
Danko Jones played a lot of their old hits mixed with lots of songs from their new album. I knew most of the songs by hard and had a great time singing along to all of them. Looking forward to seeing the band again at Graspop this summer!
NEDERLANDS: Mijn zus en ik kwamen aan in de zaal toen de support act, Audrey Horne, al begonnen was. Dit was een leuke rock 'n roll band die het publiek al goed meekreeg. Het concert was bijna helemaal uitverkocht, dus het was best druk in de kleine zaal. Mijn zus en ik besloten zo ver mogelijk naar voor te geraken, wat verrassend genoeg heel vlot ging. We eindigden ergens vooraan, tussen de eerste paar rijen mensen. Later op de avond, toen Danko Jones aan het spelen was, geraakte ik op een bepaald moment zelfs op de allereerste rij. Say what?!
Danko Jones speelde een goede show met een mix van oude nummers en nummers van het nieuwe album.
Ik zie de band deze zomer weer met veel plezier op Graspop!
