Op de laatste dag van maart ging ik voor de eerste keer naar een concert in m'n eentje. Forever Came Calling kwam spelen en bracht als voorprogramma de Engelse band Light You Up mee. Ik zocht deze band enkele uren voor het concert nog op en viel als een blok voor het nummer All We've Ever Known. Het lied gaat over movin' on van je leven zoals het nu is en je dromen achterna te gaan, ongeacht hoe anderen erover denken. Het is jouw leven en je moet het leven zoals je het zelf wil leven, niet zoals anderen zouden willen. Ik heb na het concert ook nog een diepgaand gesprek met de zanger van de band gehad hierover en het is fijn om te weten dat er mensen zijn die het begrijpen dat ik de wereld wil ontdekken en mijn leven wil leiden op mijn eigen manier. Bovendien heeft hij ook nog mijn CD (en degene die ik voor een vriendin gekocht had) gesigneerd. Oh, en die schattigerd volgt me ook op Twitter! Life is good!
ENGLISH: The last day of March I went to a concert all by myself, for the first time. Forever Came Calling was playing and they brought the English band Light You Up as support act with them. I looked this band up a couple of hours before the show and I immediately fell in love with their song All We've Ever Known. The song is about movin' on from life as you know it and start chasing your dreams, no matter how others feel about it. It is your life and you should live it exactly the way you want, not how others want you to live it. I had a conversation with the singer of the band about this and it's nice to know that there are people who understand that I want to discover the world and live my life my way. He also signed my CD. Oh, and this cutiepie also started to follow me on Twitter. Life is good!
