We’re a generation of idiots: smart phones and dumb people!

Recently a friend of mine shared a little video on his Facebook page, called Look Up. I decided to take a look at it and it really moved me. It brought tears to my eyes, because everything that's being said in this video is true. We're missing out on life, because we're addicted. We're addicted to our smarthpones, our tablets, our laptops. We can't even live without them anymore. And it's such a shame! Why is it that we can't leave our phones at home? Why can't we go one day without checking our social network profiles? Why don't we just talk to other people on the street instead of chatting online? I too am addicted to my phone. And thinking about it makes me sad. This video made me realise that something has to change, so I've decided to change the amount of time I spend looking at my phone's screen. Next time I feel like checking Facebook, Twitter, or whatever I'll just talk to the person sitting closest to me. Even when I don't know them. Wish me luck!

So when you're in public and you start to feel alone
put your hand behind your head and step away from the phone.
You don't need to stare at your menu or at your contact list,
just talk to one another and learn to co-exist.

  2. Helemaal waar.
