We Are The In Crowd lanceerde gisteren hun laatste nieuwe single The Best Thing (That Never Happened). Ik ben een grote fan van hun albums die al uit zijn en was dan ook razend benieuwd naar hoe de nieuwe single zou klinken. Ik was bang dat de band gezwicht zou zijn onder de druk om minder punk te zijn en vroeg me af of ze hun typische deuntjes behouden hadden of niet? They didn't disappoint me!
We Are The In Crowd released their new single The Best Thing (That Never Happened) yesterday. I'm a huge fan of their previous albums and I was really curious for the new single.I was afraid they would've given in to the pressure of being less punk and I was wondering whether or not they would keep their lovely tunes. Well, they didn't disappoint me!
Het liedje is weer typisch WATIC: pop en punk tegelijk, een aanstekelijke tekst en een verslavend deuntje dat de rest van de dag in je hoofd zit. Net zoals al hun andere liedjes staat ook deze single bij mij weer continue op repeat. Na een halfuurtje kende ik de single al helemaal vanbuiten, maar toch blijf je het liedje spelen. It just never gets boring! En ook al doen de bandscènes in de woestijn me denken aan de clip voor Crushcrushcrush van Paramore, is het een leuk en toepasselijke clip (let op de tekst). Het bevat verder ook leuke elementen, zoals fancy auto's, een knappe gast en Taylor die er verdomd goed uitziet!
The song is typically WATIC: pop and punk at the same time, cool lyrics and an addicting tune that'll be stuck in your head for the rest of the day. This song is continuously on repeat, just like all of their other songs. After about half an hour I knew the single completely by hard , but you have to keep on playing the song. It just never gets boring! And although the bandscenes in the desert are reminding me of the Crushcrushcrush clip from Paramore, this clip is really nice and applicable (mind the lyrics). It also contains some nice elements like fancy cars, a hot guy and Taylor who is looking damn fine!
